QUEENSLAND REGIONAL ENSEMBLE PROGRAM
The Queensland Regional Ensemble Program (QREP) is the flagship schools educational outreach initiative of the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (CQCM) at CQUniversity. QREP serves as an umbrella for a diverse range of programs designed to inspire and nurture young musicians across regional Queensland.
Dedicated to fostering musical excellence and providing exceptional learning experiences, QREP offers high school students opportunities to engage with professional musicians, university educators, and like-minded peers in an immersive and supportive environment. Through jazz ensemble, big band, and contemporary music intensives, QREP equips students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to excel in their musical journeys.
We have been privileged to host esteemed performers and educators such as Jeff Jarvis (USA), Andrew Robertson, Bob Coassin, Dan Barnett, Greg Spence, Jeremy Borthwick, Ray Cassar, Daryl McKenzie and John Morrison, among others who have shared their extraordinary musical insights with participants of our CQUniversity Schools' Jazz Festival, and we now look forward to bringing some of this magic to an event closer to you.
