Welcome to the Central Queensland University Schools’ Jazz Festival (CQUSJF), an unparalleled event in our region dedicated to fostering musical talent and education. At CQUSJF, participants are immersed in a supportive and enriching environment, offering a variety of performance and developmental activities.
Since its inception in 2012, CQUSJF has been instrumental in providing access to nationally and internationally recognised professional musicians and educators through a range of transformative experiences. From masterclasses and clinics to concert performances, participants engage with industry leaders to hone their skills and broaden their musical horizons.
Our festival has been privileged to host esteemed performers and educators such as Jeff Jarvis, Bob Coassin, Dan Barnett, Greg Spence, Jeremy Borthwick, Ray Cassar, Daryl McKenzie, John and James Morrison, among others. Their expertise and guidance have left an indelible mark on the festival's legacy, shaping the next generation of musical talent.
