ELIGIBILITY & APPLICATION

You must meet the following criteria to participate:
  • Grade Level: Secondary school students on the following instruments: voice, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar, piano, bass & drums. Other instrumentalists are encouraged to apply if you have a particular interest in jazz.
  • Performance Standard: AMEB Grade 2+ or above (or equivalent performance level).
  • Application: You are required to submit an application form (see link below).
  • Teacher Recommendation: Students must obtain the support of either their classroom or instrumental music teacher, endorsing the application. This is completed as part of the application and can be downloaded through the link below.​​
  • Applications close Friday 20 February 2026. 
  • There are a limited number of positions for QREP (NQ) and applications may close early if the required instrumentation and number of positions are reached. All applications can be made via this website.
  • Submit your completed application to the QREP Coordinator by emailing [email protected]
  • ​Approximately one week after the completion of the application & audition period, students will receive one of the following results: Offer of Position, Reserve Position or Unsuccessful.

PARTICPATION FEE & PAYMENT

  • QREP Participation Fee - $220.00
  • Students offered a position at QREP (NQ) will be emailed a payment link via the email address provided on each application. Payment for QREP (NQ) is required within 7 days of invoicing.
