ENSEMBLE REHEARSALS & SECTIONAL MASTERCLASSES
Students attending QREP will participate in a large jazz ensemble experience, tailored to challenge and inspire high school musicians. Participants are carefully allocated into jazz ensembles based on level and instrument, where they will collaborate on developing new repertoire and honing essential ensemble skills. Over three days of intensive rehearsals, students will refine their ensemble performance skills under the expert guidance of renowned guest clinicians.
The program may also provide opportunities for sectional masterclasses, and improvisation / soloing masterclasses, which encourage creativity and develop confidence in soloing and musical expression.
This multifaceted approach ensures students gain not only technical proficiency but also a deeper understanding of jazz and contemporary music. QREP’s ensemble experience is designed to challenge musicians regardless of level, offering a unique platform to develop their skills, connect with like-minded peers, and learn from some of the best in the industry.

SHOWCASE CONCERT
The program culminates in a showcase concert, where each ensemble will present their polished repertoire, celebrating their hard work and progress in a high-quality performance setting. During the Showcase Concert each of the participating bands will present a selection of performance repertoire developed throughout the weekend.
