ABOUT QREP (NQ)
Launched in 2025, Queensland Regional Ensemble Program - North Queensland (QREP-NQ) is an exciting initiative, offering high school musicians in regional Queensland a unique and immersive ensemble experience. Designed to inspire and elevate young talent, QREP brings together passionate jazz, big band, and contemporary music students for a three-day intensive program in Townsville, QLD.
Led by renowned guest clinicians, QREP focuses on fostering musicianship, collaboration, and performance excellence. Participants will be grouped into large jazz ensembles, each guided by an expert director, and will rehearse a diverse repertoire, culminating in a showcase concert that celebrates their collective achievements.
This program provides a rare opportunity for young musicians in regional Queensland to engage with high-level ensemble training led by professional jazz clinicians, typically unavailable outside South East Queensland. Pimlico State High School, with its excellent facilities, serves as the ideal partner for QREP (NQ).
